INFECTION PROTECTION Cardiac stents, catheters, and dialysis
tubing often become clogged or infected once inside the body.
But researchers at Northwestern University may have found a
way to prevent the problem by combining a layer of the sticky
material that mussels use to attach to rocks with a nonstick
coating that repels cells and infectants.
